I had some free time to shoot last weekend and I decided to get out my gear and shoot some portraits. I asked my friend Ure if she was available (since she was in town for a few more days) and she gladly said yes. I’ve known her for a while now since we both went to college together. GO SOONERS! We did the shoot on the OU campus and we had a great time hanging out.

Cool fact about her: She was crowned “Miss Tourism” & 2nd runner up at the 2008 Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria pageant.

I wanted pretty edgy images so I decided to use 2 off camera flashes – one as the main light behind a shoot through umbrella and the other as the hair/rim light which was left bare. All images were shot with a 5DMKII + 24-70mm lens.

I miss New Orleans

It’s been about 11 months since I moved back from Louisiana and I must say I sometimes miss living there.

Engineering life has pretty much taken over most of my shooting and that’s why you don’t see anything on my blog since I’m usually way too busy. I promise to get back into it in due time though

Below is one of the paintings I bought while I visited New Orleans a while back. It sure reminds me of that incredible city each time I look at it on the wall in my living area.

The Bridge To Jenks

I shot this image during a quick photo walk yesterday evening. I was determined to shoot something so I thought about this bridge and went out to shoot it. I’m sure those who live in Tulsa know exactly where this bridge is.

I shot different variations but I think this works the best. I like how the sun brings out the bridge with the nice blue skies.

My good friend, Adam graduated 2 weeks ago from OU with a Masters in Film & Video Studies. We were able to take some photos before his graduation just for fun. He’s a very talented videographer and his skills are unbelievable. I’m so proud of him and can’t wait to see him take over Hollywood

One of my favorite photographers, Collins Metu sent me a message last week to congratulate me on having my images place in 2 categories in the latest WPJA contest. I had no clue due to the fact that I had so much going on all through the week.

I’m indeed honored as the images were from Tayo & Rose’s wedding that I shot late last year. I do owe it to them for letting me shoot their wedding. Thanks guys!

Abisola and Jide :: Wedding

My sister got married on December 19th 2009 in Lagos, Nigeria and I couldn’t be more excited to see her walk down the isle as she’s the only girl in our family It was definitely a lot of fun and I was able to get in a few images here and there. I have to say this: She is one stunning bride who loves pink!

Rosemary & Tayo :: Wedding

I had the honor of shooting Rosemary & Tayo’s two day wedding ceremony during thanksgiving weekend in Chattanooga, TN and I had an awesome time! I received a message from Tayo (who follows my blog constantly) back in March of this year to inquire about the possibility of shooting their wedding and once I got booked, I knew it was going to be awesome! I had been waiting eagerly to shoot this wedding and one thing that I enjoyed most was the freedom I was given by the couple to do whatever I wanted to do. I mean WHATEVER! These guys didn’t say NO to any of my requests especially while shooting their portraits and trust me they made my job really easy. Not to forget, since it was thanksgiving weekend, they made sure that my stay in Chattanooga was wonderful. I was immediately treated like a member of their families and that really made me feel very much at home as we celebrated thanksgiving and the whole weekend together.

Rosemary & Tayo, you guys absolutely ROCK! I’m grateful and was honored that you guys chose me to be your wedding photographer. I had a great time meeting your families and documenting your wedding moments all weekend. Even though I only met you both in person last weekend, it felt like we had known ourselves for a long time. I wish you guys the absolute best and I know you’ll have fun with your new lives in London. Remain blessed.

I shot the traditional engagement ceremony of Rosemary & Tayo earlier today and I had a blast. I’m quite tired and need some rest to be ready for the big day tomorrow! That will definitely be a blast also

Here’s an image from today’s ceremony. One of the highlights of the day is the entrance of the bride and is a HUGE DEAL.
